As I wrap up this list, I want to point out that there are SO many great Christian blogs out there! And this blogger would be one of the first to jump in and agree with me.
I’ve always known L.L. Barkat as ‘the poetry chick’ from the HighCallingBlogs.com network. And since I’m not really one of those artsy kind of guys, I only casually glanced at her work every once in a while. But recently, I’ve started paying more attention to her.
L.L. actually has several blogs (Seedlings in Stone and Green Inventions Central), but it is her blog Love Notes to Yahweh that I want to bring your attention to. The content itself is pretty cool, but what I think is even cooler is how/why she started this blog. In the comment discussion on a recent HighCallingBlogs.com post she shared that, “When I did the daily outdoor solitude, I was so overcome by God’s Presence that I had to start a whole new blog just to hold my praise.” Amen, L.L.!!!
I’ve already determined that I’ll be spending much more time at L.L.’s blogs, and will let her stretch not only my mind, but also my heart. And knowing what has driven her to start this blog has helped me to appreciate the act of worship that it is.
This has made me think more about what drives many Christian bloggers to do what they do. Regardless of what they might look like on the surface, they are essentially an act of worship to our King. And I think that’s what makes them all so beautiful! L.L. has challenged me in lots of ways in the short time that I’ve known her, but her challenge to do this little exercise has really helped me to take a closer look at other Christian bloggers, and together I think that our collective voice must sound pretty awesome to our King!
Thank you L.L.!
