[12 days of awesomeness] day four: joyful christian wife

joyful-christian-wifeMarlo Boux never ceases to amaze me. I think that when I first met her through some mutual blogging circles, she was a fairly typical stay-at-home wife, home-schooling mom, blogger. After all, the name of her blog says it all! But somehow I had a feeling that she was a little different…

Marlo’s blog, The Joyful Christian Wife, has become a repository of sorts for her growing pool of research and content for some of the other amazing work that she has undertaken since I first met her. Having already completed a B.A. with a double major in Sociology and Criminal Justice, she is now working on Masters of Divinity degree. Ummm… so she’s a little smart…

She has also started working on the popular GodTalk Radio Show on Sunday nights with co-host Greg Glatz. On this show, she shows that she is the real deal when it comes to generating relevant conversation that hits the heart of Christianity.

A little exploration of her blog will turn up some cool personal insights, provocative research, and engaging interviews. In fact, you might even find a cool interview with yours truly!   ;-)

She has a big heart for dealing with social injustices, and for serving those who have a need. After I sent her a copy of Dino Rizzo’s book Servolution, she started taking sandwiches and juice boxes to area homeless people waiting to get into a shelter for the night. This activity that she started to help teach her kids about serving the needy eventually turned into a bit of a movement and regular activity with the radio show!

So check out Marlo’s blog, and let her challenge the way you think! I promise you that you won’t regret it!
