calvary

We must have Jesus as our Savior and Lord
We must do things on God’s not man’s accord
We must use the Bible to pierce people’s sins like a sharp sword.
We must teach people the path they need to follow to get to Calvary.
Or they could wind up paying the ultimate fee.

 

About the author:

Janna Bailey is 49 and has a disability. She began writing stories as a way to help other people who might be going through what she did. She wants Jesus to take the ugly things that have happened and use it for God’s glory.

    Janna, I think you've written some good stuff, but this poem really hit me wrong after doing the project with The Monkey and The Fish….
    the part that hit me wrong was “the must” of these two lines..
    “We must use the Bible to pierce people’s sins like a sharp sword.
    We must teach people the path they need to follow to get to Calvary.”
    More than piercing people's sins…. with the Bible, we MUST love 'em enough with joy in our hearts and shown in our demeanor that they will want to know the love of God… and He will do the piercing of their hearts about their sins…
    for too long we've been using the Bible in ways that is hurtful… God's LOVE is above all else, and we must get to the business of loving people without the conditions that the church has been practicing the last several decades.

    I hope you keep writing lots, I really like your piece about the Playground Bully!

    Thank you Angel for your comments and compliment.Cruelty at The Playground was based , in part on thisngs I witnessed an went through in school. I felt  perhps God or Jesus could use  Crulety AT The Playground to help open the eyes of somebody before it is  too late. God bless you
