2008 was an amazing year at BibleDude.net… Not only for the blog itself, but also for the companion group on Facebook that was started later in the year. Robert from Middle Zone Musings is running a blogapalooza this month on “What I Learned From 2008″ where bloogers share their favorite posts from their own blogs for each month of 2008. Throughout the year there have been so many amazing posts and discussions, but here is my list of my favorite posts for each month of the year:
life is short – Early in the year I lost a friend, and this post was one of my greatest outlets for me to deal with some of the things that I was feeling. I still think about this post and this young man from time to time.- bible evidence :: bahr yusef – One of the things that I set out to do in 2008 was to focus on things that historically support the Bible. This ‘discovery’ was one of my favorites.
award in excellence
I have really been blessed lately with many of the things that I see other bloggers writing about. I have to admit that I am a bit of a lurker, and really should comment more. However, there is a great deal of excellence out there amongst Christian bloggers, and I wanted to take a moment to recognize that fact. So I created this “award in excellence”…

It has been a while since I was tagged with this meme by Marlo from Joyful Christian Wife, but I still wanted to respond in order to keep this thing going. I think that memes like this are an interesting way to get to know each other, so I am always happy to participate, and pass them on.

Thinking Blogger Award

Well, the BibleDude has been tagged as a recipient of the Thinking Blogger Award. I thank Jerry from As The Crackerhead Crumbles for selecting me for this great honor. It has always been my goal with this blog to challenge the way people think, so it is nice to know that I am accomplishing my mission! Thanks Jerry!
The participation rules are simple:
1. If, and only if, you get tagged, write a post with links to 5 blogs that make you think,
2. Link to this post so that people can easily find the exact origin of the meme,
3. Optional: Proudly display the ‘Thinking Blogger Award’.
I know that there are many blogs that make me think, but I also know that some of them have already received this award. So, here are some blogs that make me think who I do not believe have already won this recognition…
1. Thoughts of a Gyrovague
2. spaghettipie
3. novus•lumen
4. reformissionary
5. Joie de Vivre
I just pray a blessing over the recipients of this award, that God would greatly bless your efforts to challenge people. I pray that God bless you with wisdom, and the sensitivity to His Spirit to hear the message from His Word to share with His people. Thank you for making me think, and may you continue to make others think as well. In Jesus name. Amen!
